What do you enjoy about working at Edge?
I joined Florigo/Edge in 2015. For me, it’s the people I work with here that make it a very special place to be.
Tell us about your career to date?
I’ve been an office manager for many years in a few different industries, but I have to say the Fish and Chip industry is by far the tastiest.
About you?
I’m married with 4 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a terrapin. A house full and never a dull moment.
What are your hobbies and interests?
What’s spare time? I can’t remember the last time I had a spare moment to myself with my gang!
Carol-Ann Hartells

What do you enjoy about working at Edge?
I love the team I work with at Florigo/Edge, we all work together to grow the business in our different areas. Within my own personal role, I love being in this industry and I love being a part of projects small and large. I joined Florigo/Edge in 2019.
Tell us about your career to date?
I have been in Sales, Account Management and telemarketing roles for over 20 years; selling and promoting a wide variety of products and services from gas/electricity to the education sector, IT to the education sector, medical products, solar panels and advertising.
About you?
I’m married to Jason and we have our little rescue dog Snoopy, who is a Jack Russell. We became his forever home at the age 7-8, we wanted to rescue an older dog and he has been a delight. Prior to Covid we did lots of glamping, and we love going to Snowdonia – we love the views, rivers, lakes and nature.
What are your hobbies and interests?
My main hobby is playing the saxophone; I play alto and tenor. I was self-taught for 6 months and had lessons for 6 months, I then passed my Grade 5 Classical Alto Sax; this was 1 year after I first picked the sax up and couldn’t get a note out of it! I then progressed to the Tenor sax. This hobby really takes up all of my spare time as I am always learning lots of different songs. I have now bought a violin; not sure whether I will do as well with this as I have done with the sax…but we will see!
Matthew Albutt

What do you enjoy about working at Edge?
For me it’s all about the people. We’re a small team, but all have our specialist areas to look after. We all have a common goal of looking after our customers and helping Edge Ranges grow.
Tell us about your career to date?
I’ve worked in sales within the IT and health and safety industries, and developed an appetite for marketing around 2014. I gained my marketing qualifications and have since worked in the charity sector, media, financial services and now the fish and chip industry.
About you?
I’m married and have a young daughter who knows how to wrap me around her little finger. We love going for family walks and days out. Prior to having a child, we loved travelling – Especially to the USA and Turkey.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I don’t have as much time as I used to, but I love photography and more recently videography. I’m completely self taught by watching hours of YouTube videos and giving it a go.

What do you enjoy about working at Edge?
I’ve been at Edge / Florigo since May 2021. I enjoy the challenge of a service department, looking after our field engineers and making sure all our ranges are working and our customers are frying.
Tell us about your career to date?
I’ve been working in service all my life. From starting as a field engineer to managing various field services teams. The highlight was being nominated and awarded bronze for CCMA National Support Manager of the year out of 1,500 service managers in 2020.
About you?
I’m married with various pets including rabbits, ducks and chickens. We’ve just added a puppy to add to the mess.
What are your hobbies and interests?
In my spare time you’ll find me at the gym, in the pub or watching football at my local non-league team or Villa Park.
Mark Theaker
Consultant Engineer
What do you enjoy about working at Edge?
I have worked for Edge/Florigo for as a Conultant Engineer since April 2009. For me, it’s the enjoyment of the job, every job that I go to is different. You never get an identical job.
Tell us about your career to date?
I finished my education with a City and Guilds Distinction in Engineering. Since then I have been a Forklift operator (which helped me pass my driving test), a Cellar Service Technician, Refrigeration Engineer, Glass / Dishwashing Technician, General Electrical /Gas Catering Head Engineer, Service Manager and now a Consultant Engineer. You can say I know my way around a lot of machinery.
About you?
I have been marred for over 25 years with one daughter, one granddaughter and a dog.
What are your hobbies and interest?
When I get home, I enjoy taking my dog out and sampling as many different beers as I can.
